Traveling is the footprint. Cultures are my teachers. People are my gurus and your stories are my greatest inspiration.

This class represents us ALL. People of all races, mothers, fathers, teachers, students, our stories, journeys, smiles, tears, joy, courage, energy, and this undeniable sign that made come to full circle, and brought me the joy to share what I believe is our greatest Masterpiece.

AFRICA

I am because we are.

An anthropologist showed a game to the children of an African tribe ...

He placed a basket of delicious fruits near a tree trunk and told them: The first child to reach the tree will get the basket.

When he gave them the start signal, he was surprised that they were walking together, holding hands until they reached the tree and shared the fruit!

When he asked them why you did that, they answered with astonishment: Ubuntu.

"That is, how can one of us be happy while the rest are miserable?"

Ubuntu in their civilization means: (I am because we are). That tribe knows the secret of happiness.

Kenia, Africa

Kenia, Africa

My beautiful experience in Kenya is very similar. Africa taught me the power of Unity and simplicity. When I gave a pair of shoes to one of the kids on the street. He immediately gave one shoe to his little brother sitting next to him. It was the best life lesson I could ever have.

AUSTRALIA

Australia taught me the power Nature. Respect, connection and ground.

I worked in the cotton field to gain some money and my boss was an aboriginal. The other workers, like me, were for the most surfers following the waves. I will never forget the beauty of this land and the Kangaroos crossing the streets covered with red sand during sunrise. Not to mention the Pinguin island, the Coral Bay and the immense love for Nature of all the Australian people.

IRAQ

Nothing matters but Freedom.

Believe it or not, I felt alive in a hopeless place. Gulf War, Baghdad, 2006. I could hear the rockets, smell red powder and I was in Saddam Hussein Palace. Surely not the best scenario to feel alive! But performing for the USO Tour and bringing a smile to our troupes has been an undeniable experience and a true understanding of freedom.

Every day since, I remind myself and others the value of Freedom.

Saddam Hussein Throne.

INDIA

Ttkana’ has a lot of India in it. The elegant gestures, the lotus, the colors, and the beauty. When I saw Yanni performing at the Taj Mahal, I remember visualizing myself in that beauty. And here I was, a few years later, in front of this magic. Wait to see what’s next…
